Pansies, pansies, pansies galore! These little guys have bloomed and bloomed. They require deadheading — taking spent flowers off before they go to seed — in order to keep the blooms coming. They have a velvety feel, as do the calendula petals, both of which contrast nicely with the roughness of the madrone bark.
