Today’s mandala brings up the need for some supportive engineering, especially now with flowers starting to bloom again. Usually when I think of support, it’s the emotional kind. I am fortunate to have an abundance of this in my life. What I want to access now is engineering support. As you can see from today’s piece, the daffodils are on their side, and the blue-eyed daisies are viewed from above. There are pieces of mastodon ivory peeking out from under the daisies, and the stems of the daffs are under them too. It doesn’t work as well as I’d like. Yesterday’s mandala had a rose hip tucked under the hellebore, and silk tassel tree buds to keep things even. The ideas I’ve come up with coiled wire, a circle of Playdough, tiny pieces of wood, or pebbles. I’m married to a former engineer and artist, and will enlist his thinking on this at breakfast!

Daffodils, blue-eyed daisies, individual silk tassel tree buds, eucalyptus caps, clay beads, metal beads, and mastodon ivory

Do you have any thoughts about this? I’d love to hear them.
